Research Contest

- ELIGIBILITY: Any resident enrolled in a Canadian
residency program, and fellow-in-training, in Physical Medicine &
Rehabilitation at the time of the contest deadline.
- REQUIREMENTS: An original investigative work in the
field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation done by residents/fellows will
be eligible. In the case of published works or works submitted for
publication, the resident must be the primary author or major investigator.
A major investigator is expected to design and write up the project. This
includes the literature search and construction of the project.

- All submissions should be approved by the research or
program director of that resident with a covering letter requesting
submission to the contest and stating that the resident/fellow has done the
major amount of the work.
GUIDELINES: Manuscripts should be written in a style suitable for
submission to the Achives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and be
accompanied by an abstract of not more than 200 words. Please submit one
unblinded and one blinded copy following the Manuscript

- PRIZE: Cash prize of $200.00, a commemorative
certificate, airfare for one and three nights single accommodation at the
site of the CAPM&R Annual Scientific Meeting, allowance for meals and
two tickets to the CAPM&R Annual Dinner. An abstract of the winning
paper will be posted on the CAPM&R website. The winner will be invited
to present the paper at the meeting’s scientific session (15 minute
presentation).

- DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted
electronically to the CAPM&R office at
capmr@rcpsc.edu . They must be received no
later than Deadline Extended – February 5, 2010 @ 5pm ET.
