Terms of Reference - Education Committee

Term of Appointment:

Members shall be nominated by the Chairperson with approval of the Executive Committee. Term of office shall be 3 years with re-appointment on recommendation of the Chairperson.

A Vice-chair will be nominated and elected by the members of the Education Committee. The term of office is 3 years upon which they will assume the role of Chair of the Education Committee for the subsequent 3 years.

All members shall be in good standing with CAPM&R.

Terms of Reference:

  1. The Education Committee shall be responsible for the collection, correlation and presentation of information and ideas related to:

  1. Education of undergraduates

  2. Education of PM&R residents

  3. Education of other residents related to PM&R

  1. The Education Committee will perform other duties related to education negotiated with the Executive Committee of CAPM&R.

Reporting Relationship:

The Education Committee is a sub-committee of the Executive Committee of the CAPM&R and the Chairperson shall report to the Executive Committee. The Chairperson will be an ex-officio corresponding member of the Continuing Professional Development and Specialty Committees. The Chair or a designate will attend the CPD Committee meeting at the Annual CAPM&R Meeting.

Frequency of Meetings:

The Education Committee shall meet as determined by the Chairperson at least once a year.
